Printing and Materials Guide
Paper size, finish, shape, and printing style can all affect what’s available—and the overall price. For instance, a standard shape with a smooth finish and digital printing is the most budget-friendly option. Items followed by an asterisk * indicate the most budget-friendly options.
Simple doesn’t mean plain; these invitations are elegant and timeless. If you’re dreaming of something extra special, choosing an arched shape with a pearlescent finish and foil-stamped lettering creates a more luxurious look and comes at a higher cost. Types of Printing
Digital printing*
Digital printing is the most versatile and budget-friendly option. It allows for full-color designs with smooth gradients, photographs, and intricate details. Think of it as “what you see is what you get”—your design is printed directly onto the paper with crisp, vibrant results. Perfect for modern, colorful, or highly detailed stationery.
Pairs best with:
Smooth Paper → for clean, sharp colors and fine details
Pearlescent Paper → adds shimmer to colorful or floral designs
Natural Paper → for an organic, modern look
Matte/Eggshell → for a minimalist, soft feel
Foil Stamping
Foil stamping adds a touch of shine and sophistication. A metallic foil (gold, silver, rose gold) is pressed into the paper with heat, leaving behind a reflective, luxurious finish. The result catches the light and is ideal for luxury and minimalist designs, monograms, highlighting names and statement pieces. *Foil stamping is only available for the invitation, details card, and RSVP card.
Pairs best with:
Smooth Paper → for crisp, reflective shine
Pearlescent Paper → creates a luminous, layered glow
Letter Press
Letterpress is the timeless art of pressing inked plates into thick, soft paper to create a tactile impression you can both see and feel. It gives your stationery a handcrafted, elegant quality, with a subtle debossed texture. This technique is perfect for minimalist, classic, or romantic designs that celebrate craftsmanship. *Letterpress is only available for the invitation, details card, and RSVP card; and available in standard square or rounded edges.
Pairs best with:
Natural Paper → enhances the handcrafted, artisanal feel
Pearlescent Paper → creates a luminous, layered glow
Smooth Paper → for clean, sharp letterpress impressions
Additional Touches
Add-ons come at a small extra cost, but they’re an easy way to make your package feel even more special.
Envelope liners
Envelope liners enhance the visual appeal of opening an invitation. They can add vibrancy or sophistication to match your wedding vibe.
Belly bands
A belly band is a decorative strip of paper that holds paper materials together within the envelope.
Wax seals and wax seal stickers
Wax seals add a polished and traditional feel.
Vellum jackets
Translucent paper that encloses the invitation and adds a delicate touch.
