The Ordering Process
Our ordering process is all about YOU - listening to your vision, loves, and hopes, then transforming them into a spectacular piece of art that suits your personality, style, and event. We would like to assure you that your order will proceed smoothly and if you have any concerns, please ask. Outstanding customer service is very important to us and we would like to assure you that your order will be completed on-time whether you place your order on-line or in person. Below is a description of our ordering process, and everything you can expect when you become an Inkwell Invitations client:
Step One: Contact Us
Please contact us using the online Contact Form located on our website. Once we receive your contact form, we will contact you either by phone or via email to schedule your design consultation.
Step Two: Design Consultation
This is the fun part. During your consultation, we will discuss everything that will play a part in your design – budget, colors, themes, locations, materials, etc. If we meet in person, we encourage you to bring all of your fabric swatches, magazine clippings, invitation ideas, and anything else that reflects your personality and vision. The sky is truly the limit as we dream up your ultimate invitations.
Step Three: Price Proposal & Approval
Now that we have completed our initial consultation, we feel have a pretty good idea of what you would like to have regarding the shape, color, font style, custom inserts, addressing, and printing options for your invitations. It’s now our turn to shop around and find the best prices for the quality materials needed to create your custom invitations. Once we have determined how much the materials will cost, combined with labor costs, we will send you a price quote proposal. If terms are agreed upon, we will send you a simple contract to sign.
Step Four: Sign contract & Submit your Deposit
Along with your contract, a 50% deposit is due for us to begin ordering the materials needed to make your invitations. We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, or PayPal using your major credit card or bank account. Please let us know f you plan on using PayPal so that we can send you an invoice by email with a link to PayPal. All prices are in US Dollars and are subject to shipping charges and taxes (where applicable). Checks, bank drafts and money orders should be made payable to Inkwell Invitations.
Step Five: Send us your Text
Send us your text via email to shelby@inkwellinvitations.com. It can be typed directly into an email or attached as a Word document as long as the text is there – spell checked & print-ready. We’ll take care of the rest. For wording options, please visit VerseIt.com.
Step Six: Review & Approve your Digital Text Proof
A PDF file of your text only will be sent to you via email or secure webpage for you to review and adjust prior to the initial mock-up proof of your invitation. All text will be shown in the requested fonts.
Step Seven: Approve your Digital Mock-Up Proof
Once the text proof has been approved, we will present you with a final mock-up proof of your entire package to move into production. We will send the digital proofs to you via email or secure webpage. You will be asked to proof all final copy punctuation, spelling, dates, typestyles, and layouts. Please note - it is important to be meticulous when proofing, as we are not responsible for any mistakes once a client has approved the Final Proof. Your order won't be printed or produced until you are completely satisfied.
Step Eight: Final payment, Production & Delivery
The remaining balance of your order is due prior to printing. Once payment has been received, we ask for a minimum of 3 weeks for production where each invitation will be printed and assembled with care. Every piece will be inspected for impeccable quality, beautifully wrapped, and shipped to you. Once the invitations are ready to go, will call you for pickup or we'll ship them to you – it’s just one more thing you can cross off that to-do list!
